Healthy IDEAS (Identifying Depression, Empowering Activities for Seniors)

Healthy IDEAS (Identifying Depression, Empowering Activities for Seniors) integrates depression awareness and management into existing case management services provided to older adults.  It is a 3 - 6 month long, home-based program that has been shown to:

 

  • Decrease symptoms of depression
  • Decrease physical pain
  • Improve the ability to recognize and self-treat symptoms
  • Improve well-being through achievement of personal goals

Underserved, chronically ill older adults
