EnhanceWellness is an individualized, motivational self-care intervention that encourages older adults to take on health challenges and maintain control of their lives.  The intervention lasts six months or more (as determined by the participant) and has been shown to:


  • Decrease the use of psychoactive drugs, depression, hospitalized days
  • Increase physical activity and confidence in managing one’s health

Who should consider taking EnhanceWellness?

Older adults with one or more chronic conditions.  Not recommended for people with dementia.


Where is it available?

Developed at the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center, the program is not currently offered in Wisconsin.
