Active Choices

Active Choices is a six-month, physical activity program that emphasizes participating in individually-selected activities that are facilitated with ongoing, brief telephone and mail follow-up delivered to participants' homes.  The evidence-based program has been shown to:
 

  • Increase the participant's level of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity
  • Increase satisfaction with body appearance and function,
  • Decrease weight (as measured by body mass index or BMI)

Who should consider taking Active Choices?

Older adults who want to be physically active.

 

Where is it available?

The program is offered in several places in Wisconsin.  To see if it is available near you, contact your county or tribal office on aging
